Lighthouse Bistro is Making Positive Moves

Owner Matt Ernsdorf admittedly had to succumb to the ribbing he was getting from his nine year old daughter Sweden. Her generation viewed the Lighthouse Bistro’s to-go containers as an unnecessary evil. And Matt, who was never comfortable with the waste, made the originally unpopular decision to do away with any and all to-go containers.

The initial reaction gave way to very happy feedback. To date Matt has received four thank you cards and several people have stopped by to thank him personally for the stand he is taking against waste and pollution. Some people are still not very pleased. Matt mentioned, “They want their take-out in their styrofoam and there is no making them happy. But mostly it has been very popular. I think everyone is happy abut the change that is happening.”
